Cookbook: Photo Shoot Part 2
Before we lived in our apartment, it was a painting studio. It has beautifully soft and even light, and there are still splatters of paint on the wood floor of the sleeping loft. When we first checked out the space, the owners mentioned that the 12-foot-tall gallery wall inside the apartment could be recycled if we didn’t want it. I remember looking into Graham’s eyes and seeing that we were thinking the exact same thought: the gallery wall would be perfect for the cookbook we had just started working on together. We took the wall as a very good sign and moved in.
The cookbook photo shoot finished last Friday. Everyone on our talented team worked so hard and I’m really looking forward to writing thank you notes to all of them this week. During the second part of our shoot, we were on location in real kitchens, photographing dishes with a bit more context in a larger scene. These images turned out to be some of my favorites.
