Honey Tasting
This weekend, I was honored to be a judge for the Good Food Awards. We did a blind tasting of more than 200 different honeys from across the United States, including Hawaiian melaleuca, California sage, Texan wildflower, and Georgian sourwood. Some had the liquid consistency you’d expect of honey, but others were naturally crystallized, creamed (whipped until airy), or infused, and a select few were still on the beautiful beeswax comb. (For more about the Good Food Awards, check out this journal post from last year’s blind tasting.)
