Recipe: Halloween Treats
Do you have a favorite holiday? Thanksgiving is mine (duh, no surprise!), followed closely by Valentine’s Day and Halloween. I love the duality of Halloween—trick or treat, costumed or real. If it were more socially acceptable, I would totally go trick-or-treating in full costume as an adult. Luckily, this year we have a cute baby to dress up and bring with us from door to door, visiting all our neighbors and collecting only the best candy.
One of the many things I love about Graham is that he believes Crunch Bar to be highly underrated Halloween candy. You know those boring (sorry, G!) milk chocolate bars with crunchy puffed rice in them? He reaches for those before other, more excellent candy options: Butterfinger, Reese’s, Kit Kat, etc. I can’t fully articulate why I find this to be so lovable, but I do.
If you’re looking for some Halloween treats, how about these black tahini cookies? Or, you could make a batch of vanilla extract, which is a sweet gift for friends who love to bake. Wishing you a spooky weekend!
