Proposal Day

Do you celebrate any made-up holidays? I do! Every year, on the Monday before Thanksgiving, Graham and I celebrate what we call “Proposal Day.” We try to re-create that beautiful day on which he asked me to marry him. It’s always sweet to mark the occasion with a visit to the Berkeley Rose Garden, and there’s something so fun about celebrating a holiday nobody else knows about. No pressure, low expectations, high happiness—the best kind of holiday.
