A Valentine

I’m working on the North American edition of A Cook’s Book by Nigel Slater, and I’ve been doing some recipe testing. Here’s a box of cakes that I left on the doorstep of unsuspecting neighbors (just kidding! for friends!)

With Valentine’s Day coming up, this feels like the perfect time to play cupid and drop off sweets for people I love. Are you cooking for your crush? If you need some recipe inspiration, I wrote a whole book about the topic of cooking with someone you love, and I’m always happy to sign or personalize a copy if you buy it from my local indie bookstore, East Bay Booksellers.
