Under 30 Summit
This week I traveled to Boston for the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit. The incredible lineup of speakers included Jeff Flake, John Kerry, Sara Blakely, Steve Case, Whitney Wolfe Herd, Anthony Scaramucci, and John Kasich. As I was sitting in the audience during Flake’s talk, protestors were chanting, “Vote NO! Vote NO!”, police were putting up barricades, and major media outlets had camera operators filming it all. I felt like I was a part of history in the making.
After the conference, Graham arrived to spend a day playing tourist with me in Boston. He had heard the city was home to quite a number of paintings by John Singer Sargent, and we set out to find as many of them as we could—we visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Trinity Church, and even the main branch of the Public Library.
All that walking around town led to great appetites. For breakfast, we had cappuccinos and steaming hot Belgian liège waffles at Curio Coffee in Cambridge. Lunch was at beautiful Juliet. And for dinner, we joined the crowd at Yume Ga Arukara, an 18-seat udon restaurant that has only two items on the menu: hot udon and cold udon. We loved them both.
