Reading, Lately
When the pandemic began, all of a sudden, I had a hard time reading as often as I did before. My attention span seemed to shrink, and I couldn’t focus as well on the page in front of me. You too? I still feel it, but I think I’m slowly easing back into the reading groove. Among the many books I’ve started, there are two outstanding novels from Riverhead Books, a cookbook on Artisan’s backlist paired with a new release, plus two books about Italy. Glennon Doyle’s latest, on loan from my mother-in-law. A book of poems by Reginald Dwayne Betts, whom Graham was fortunate to work with on a project. And, last but certainly not least, the first book I’ve curbside picked up from our public library.
