Holiday Traditions

Holiday Traditions

Graham took a letterpress printing class a few years ago and came home with a stack of posters that he said were to-do lists. But when he unwrapped them, I saw the word “TODO” and teased him for leaving out the hyphen. Ever since, these posters have been known as todo (pronounced like the Spanish word) lists. We made one for this holiday season and taped it up on our fridge. I like the idea of starting new traditions and rituals that will hopefully stick around for years to come. Our 2021 list isn’t ambitious by any definition of the word. For “bake cookies and deliver to friends,” we are setting the bar low for ourselves this year and planning to make max two different kinds of cookies and walk them over to Arthur’s baby friends’ houses in our neighborhood. Also, “hang outdoor Christmas lights” hasn’t happened yet, and might get bumped to our 2022 list. Do you have any holiday traditions? Are they as food-centric as ours? I’d love to know.

Merry Christmas!
